A handbag is more than just an accessory, it is part of a women's everyday ensemble.

Stella Maxwell, a designer and model once said:

"A perfect handbag is both functional and stylish. Of course, you want to look cool, but you also want a bag that is going to work with you, not against you."

And we totally agree.

Design in our Melbourne studio.

In Latin, our brand name X NIHILO means ‘creation out of nothing’.

This notion denotes the base concept of everything we do, from our design aesthetics, vision in development, material sourcing and, craftsmanship as well as the creativeness we present to the world.

Women in today’s society fulfil a multitude of roles. With this in mind, I want to create handbags that are versatile and can be taken from professional scenes to social settings, to worldwide travels and beyond.

To me, the production process is very important. The craftsmanship lies within every stitch and that marks what we stand as a brand.

Lines, shapes of primary forms and structural compositions are the centre elements that I stem from for all of my designs.

And that with X NIHILO’s unique signature, we elicit the impression of strength and individuality from the purest form and structure through exquisite materials and remarkable craftsmanship.

This bag is from our Eight Series which truly is a cornerstone of our silhouette and has become our hero product. It’s designed to be worn in many ways to suit different looks, different life scenarios and, comfort factors with quick and easy changes.

We are a small team but a passionate bunch.

We work with incredible suppliers, leather makers, craftsman and I think this all contributes in making me a better designer and business owner at the end of the day.
