Celebrate Every MOMent
Best #XNIHILOMom. Ever. #MothersDay
I love that we set aside a whole day to honour and celebrate the women who raised us. My mom was an amazing mother who dedicated her life to her two children. She was selfless yet strong- and the most beautiful woman I know.
In this blog, we interviewed our Campaign #7 model Chait and, the amazing lady who raised her and her brother single handily. Yes, they are mother and daughter. Could almost mistake them for sisters!
Campaign #7 was Chait’s first modeling experience and our team was impressed by her confidence, coming in as a young lady in front of a professional crowd. It made me wonder where she gets her grit from – and the answer is undoubtedly influenced by her mum – Emily.

What would you say is the best advice your mother has given you?
The best advice has been to continue working hard, always try and be a high achiever- and never let anyone undermine you or your intelligence.
What is the best thing about your mum?
The best thing about her is that she always goes out of her way to ensure that me and my brother Colee are comfortable- and of course her taste in fashion.
If you could only say one thing to your mum what would it be?
I would say that I feel lucky to have such a strong woman as a mum.
Can you name any similar traits you share with your mum?
I think we can both be loud and outgoing. We also both like to work and be productive.
As you have grown up what is something you realise now about your mum that you didn’t realise in the past?
that she can quite literally do anything. I’ve seen her change career a couple of times and every time she has; she has done extremely well.
If you could take anything from your mum’s wardrobe what would you take?
Probably her circular Louis Vuitton bag or any of her shoes- But I'm lucky enough for her to let me take anything
What has been the most rewarding thing about being a mum?
Seeing my children growing up confidently with their own unique personalities. Coming home to them at the end of a workday is the best thing in life and stress relief to see their smiley faces!
What has been the most challenging about being a mum?
Multi-tasking 100%! And definitely a life skill to have. And time management so you make time for the important things in life.
What was the most surprising thing you discovered about being a mom?
That would be LOVE. I could never imagine myself being able to go this far and beyond for a human being without any agenda and condition until experiencing life with my two babies.
How have you changed as a person since becoming a mom?
Better temper and more patient. It’s a life skill as a mum, otherwise, you go crazy!
Describe your child in a single sentence?
For my eldest and my daughter Chait - sky is the limit.
For my son Colee - cute as a button!
What is something your child has taught you?
From raising both of them, I got to know myself better as a parent, I learnt by teaching and apricate my own parents more than ever and blessed to be where I am now.
They taught me the determination to become a better person and grit in life as I realised I needed to lead by example in hope that they will become a better version of me.
On the lighter side of things, they are my fashion advisors, they taught me that Coby's No.8 uniform is in baby blue and the best yet - Netflix!
