New Year - New Me!
Welcome back ladies! It’s the second day of the New Year and we are back with a new blog to help you get your 2018 started on the good note. If you're anything like we are, you have mixed feelings about New Year's resolutions and there is a good reason why.
New Year – New Me, is a time to reinvent our lives and gain control over bad habits, cravings and obsessions we couldn’t stop or get a grip on last year. It’s hard to stick with the guidelines we set ourselves in hopes of becoming better, healthier and happier. Most years, we forget about all we’ve planned for before the first autumn leafs fall. So this year we have prepared a bucket list of a few soul-filling resolutions to make you feel all warm and fuzzy.

Take your dusty notepad out and figure out whom exactly you want to be, because January is time to make important change and press the universal ‘reset’ button. We wanted to share with you our secret ways of how to dig deeper and create real resolutions worth sticking too and becoming more creative, productive, and quality content.

Here are our top 3 picks:
-
‘Word of the year’ is at the top of our list! The idea is to brainstorm words that are significant to you or have a special meaning. Then bring that word into your day as much as you can! You can use words such as love, peace, patience, kindness, empathy, self-control or persistence.
- ‘Make a new friend every month’ is a great way to get you thinking about networking, career as well as personal relationships. Do you find yourself drifting away from people because of clashing schedules and heavy workloads? ‘Make a friend every month’ is a good way to involve yourself in social events around work or home and take a breath! Having time off and connecting with others is fun and healthy.
- ‘Do something nice for others.’ Every day is a good day to change something and make a difference. We dare you to make this year, a year of change. In October last year, X NIHILO took ‘do something nice for others’ a step further. We took part in the ‘Share the Dignity’ project, and helping women in need. So this year, get involved, give back and remember – that it’s never too late!
Many of our resolutions are inwardly focused, concentrating on ways to become thinner, healthier and wealthier people. However, while there is nothing wrong with improving yourself, it’s worth remembering there’s a whole world out there too. Take this year’s resolutions as a way of not only improving yourself but also making a difference in other peoples lives.
Plan to do one nice thing a day for someone else; whether it’s something small like giving a compliment, or something potentially life-saving like donating blood. People change with time, so do their aspirations. Seriously taken, New Year Resolution is an opportunity to rewrite our journey.
